What can patients do to prepare for peripheral IV placements?
Paradigm Clinical Services can patient play an important role in their own care, and can take steps to prepare for their infusion. The best way to prepare for a home infusion is to hydrate well if clinical able to do so. Starting up to two days prior to therapy, again unless contraindicated by your physician, patients should increase their fluid intake. This ensure the patient is well hydrated for their IV placement, and also improves tolerance for some infusion medications..
